Profile version 3.0:

I just got out of a relationship. I have twin, year and a half old daughters. They're fabulous, and it's important that anyone I hang out with either has kids (and can thus understand my life and priorities) or likes kids.

That having been said:

I'm from Denver and I plan to move back there eventually. I'm currently enrolled in Westwood College to take online courses in the way of getting a bachelors in visual communications. I'm on my way into advertising. That works well for me because I love language and communication as well as art, and I love the way the mind works. Psychology is deeply important in advertising, if you think about it.

Eventually, I'd like to wind up in Scotland, I think. Honestly, though, I'd settle for anywhere other than here, as long as people speak English there. I'm not patriotic at all, but I am somewhat attached to my language because it's the only one I'm comfortable with. I'd be willing to learn just about any other language; I'm just concerned that I'd never be terribly fluent.

You don't, by any means, have to read my whole profile before you message me. I'm happy to answer questions via messages, even if the answers are already here. Just don't act like it's my duty or privilege to sleep with you and I won't act like it's yours to talk to me.

I'm taking classes at Westwood College so I can get my Bachelors of Science in Visual Communications in about three years. That's about all I'm doing right now, but it's a pretty big deal to me.

I am, though, already doing one of the hardest things I think I've ever done just by trying to do the best for my kids. I'm actually somewhat surprised at the number of difficult decisions I've had to make just since they were born. And some of the hardest ones were made when they were in the womb.

I draw and sing well. I also dance. I write, but I haven't a clue if it's actually any good. Some people tell me they like my writing, but I don't exactly have a fan base. lol

Also, I seem to be a quick learner. That makes sense, seeing as I absolutely love knowledge. I guess I'm a knowledge sponge, but that also means I rarely retain much of anything when you just leave me on the counter. For retention, I require submersion. Evaporation is a bitch. (I think I went too far with that metaphor)

Of course, there are also a lot of things I like to do that I'm not particularly good at. I try not to embarrass myself with the things I'm not terribly good at, but I enjoy those things anyway, mostly BECAUSE I'm no good at them and I desire to be better at them. Those include things like painting, acting, horseback riding and rock climbing.

Obviously, it's difficult to get better at certain things, since they're not things I have access to on a daily basis, but I try anyway. I think growth is important in life. In fact, that might be what my whole life is about. There's a rock climbing gym in Austin. I think that might become my new hobby, once I find the time.

I suppose, probably the fact that I'm small and pale. And, once I open my mouth, that I'm opinionated, honest even in the worst possible situations and political. But I'm also goofy and immature at times. I can take a joke of almost any kind.

And if you were at the Halloween party, the first thing you probably noticed was my legs. I like to show them off.

(A) Anything by Chuck Klosterman. Prozac Nation, manga, Hitchhiker's Guide, historic things, biographies, memoirs... usually biographies and memoirs about crazy or otherwise screwed up people.

(B) I tend to like Tarantino and Kubrick. A random sampling of some of my favorite movies: Pulp Fiction, A Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket, Finding Neverland, THHGTTG, Matchstick Men, The Cooler, The Last Samurai, Master and Commander, Dogville, Prozac Nation, Swordfish, Snatch, Medicine Man, Timeline, American History X, Being John Malkovich, The Fifth Element, Batman Begins, From Hell... things with good cinematics and good theatrical timing, and sometimes things that just have a great story.

(C) A little bit of everything. I tend to like Garth Brooks, even though I don't really like country. I like Jay Z even though I don't much like rap. Collective Soul, Counting Crows, Dandy Warhols, Enya, the Buddha Bar CDs, Ultimate Om, 311, Rob Zombie... techno, alternative, rock, metal, classical...

(D) pasta I think. I eat meat, but I don't mind a vegetarian diet, as long as I can take my vitamins. I like fruits and veggies, especially as snacks. I could live on junk food, though, and I'd rather not live without it. I used to be addicted to soda, Mountain Dew mostly. But I quit that for the new year. I drink Sprite now, as well as juices and water.

I live within my mind for the most part, and I'm used to having to give up basically everything I have. I suppose I might be considered a minimalist, since I try to be able to move everything I have in a large car. So, there aren't many things I couldn't live without, but here are some things I'd rather not give up (in no particular order, and not particularly well-thought-out):

Art. I think about art a lot. I think about things I'd like to draw, but I lack the inspiration and motivation and free time to draw much lately. I have some vague ideas of what I'd like to draw and projects I'd like to work on, but I feel very blank.

I want to start a comic, but I can't make the characters simple enough to want to draw them hundreds of times over. I also can't convince myself that any of the ideas I have for the comic are good enough to actually use. Maybe I'm just being overly picky.

I also think about fish and my inability to keep them alive and how much I want a puppy. I haven't been able to have a dog in a while due to living in apartments and with people who have cats.

I don't have much of a Friday Night life right now, so let's talk about what I wish I was doing:

I love going to movies, dancing in the rain, walking around in the dark, writing, driving, swimming, talking, singing, laying in the middle of the road (when there aren't any cars)... I just like being away from home, with someone, doing something... just about anything... just about anywhere other than here.

I do occasionally get out, since I moved into this new place. I like to hang out with my best friend and pay pool or watch movies, or live shows... or just find an excuse to have a few drinks. I go to a few parties, mainly with the same group of friends.

I'm a little bit obsessive compulsive. It used to have control of my life. I once did things I couldn't help that were damaging to myself as well as others. I've been through some behavioral therapy to help me focus on things that aren't destructive or disruptive, and I don't have any major marks left over. For the most part, you probably wouldn't even know the difference. I suppose, though, you know now anyway. :P

You don't mind kids and you know how to keep your damned hands to yourself for the most part. That's kind of where I stand right now. I'm willing to hang out with anyone, but I'm probably not going to sleep with you, and I'm not going to choose between you and my kids, obviously.
