I enjoy music,
although I'm pretty picky about what I like. I recently discovered
that I like some opera, which came as a bit of a shock to
me since I like to listen to rock. I now desperately want to see Madame
Butterfly and Tosca.I love photography and art. In the past I would photograph things in my garden, insects being a favorite of mine and plants being a close second. A lot more recently, when I take my camera out, its to take pictures of my niece. Not so much art, but I love her dearly and its great seeing her grow. I enjoy drawing people too, although I still want to improve a lot.
I used to practice Karate but quit when I moved to Santa Cruz. I miss it, it used to be an important part of my life and made me feel really strong. I enjoy watching MMA and respect martial artists a great deal.
I like to keep plants and garden. I have several orchids and other assorted houseplants, since I can't keep a garden where I'm living currently.
I also like cooking and mostly its cooking to feed other people. I love having company over to share a good meal.
