I decided on a whim that with this New Year I am going to fully embrace what I set out to do months ago. I'm going to give myself some credit, and listen to my heart.
It's taken a while to clearly (or as clear as can be through tinted windows) define what it is I am looking for, and why I came here in the first place.
I came here because the universe is big, and the world small... and this is a means of hopefully stumbling my way into some good friends, and, quite possibly, the person I'm destined to be with. This may not be the case (the windows /were/ tinted rose colored), but my optimistic attitude has taken hold and is highlighting on my road map of life at will, with no aim in particular.
I'm simply not "looking". I peruse the Match section, and honestly look at the funny "Quiver" section (though every time I think the world I see the scene from 10 Things I Hate About you when she talks about quivering loins, or something of the like). I randomly click on journals and follow my way through links, sometimes messaging people really random things that I liked on their profile. I'm not seeking out Mr. Perfect, however... If Mr. Perfect-for-me should read this, please message me. Or better, bring me daisies and tirimisu and I might just be yours forever. (^_~)
That all being said...I'd like to start off by saying you are about to, should you choose to continue on after this paragraph, read the beginning of a novel about me. It sounds rather self- centered, but then again this profile /is/ supposed to be all about me. So neiner neiner. Really though... I'm not opposed to finding the potential love of my life here, through a video game, at the local coffee shop, at the not-so-local coffee shop, on a military base, at the gas station, or while in my car waiting for the light to change.
It's very important to know that I lead an insanely busy life right now, and I dream of meeting the man who will slow me down.
I love Gaming (of every kind), board games and watchin' mooobies... I have too many interests to list- I'm always up for an adventure. I don't mind "getting lost" in the back roads of some po-dunk little town... I love spending time with my niece and nephews. I adore hanging out and playing video games, or just sitting quietly... I actually really like football (something I have re-discovered) I love Ren Fair's and romance, comedy and horror. I'm a dreamer at heart, and frequently stare at the stars. I carry my journal with me about 87% of the time. I don't mind if you want to look through it, or read it, but the first time you judge/ make fun of what I've written is the last time you will talk to me.
I keep an online journal (several, in fact.)... If you ever care to know what I'm thinking about at various moments in time, the one on here is a good place to start. I'd link you, but I'm computer stupid and don't know how to do that.
I have a passion for video games, and most of my articles in my Journalism classes focus on the topic in some way.
I'm a hardcore Zelda girl, enough so that there is serious consideration taking place about getting the Zelda hearts tattooed on my rib cage.
Other video games I <3:
o Call of Duty 4 (amazing game...Search and Destroy snipeFTW)
o Halo 3 (Campaign. I suck at the one on one.)
o Super Mario RPG: the Legend of the Seven Stars (Holy. Crap. Square did this, and it's fantastic.)
o Final Fantasy (7 is my favorite. My voice mail alert is the victory music)
o Kingdom Hearts (Both of them rock my boxers. FF and Disney? WHO KNEW?!?!)
o Mario (Anything Mario, really. Strikers is awesome, and Brawl.. Who doesn't love Pit??? Oh, and I recently had a 10 minute conversation about why I like the Blue Yoshi best... O.o)
o World of Warcraft (I quit playing, but I do love the game... Looks like I might be going back... But so far, I've been clean for 6 months...>_<)
o Diablo 2 (And 3 looks fantastic)
o Animal Crossing (This game, is amazing. Someday, ask me about hoookin' for Nook.)
There are plenty of others, but those are my favorites. ^_^
I'm a full time (more than full time, actually) student at WCC on my way to who knows where. Originally it was EMU, now it might be U of M or Indiana University... It's still up for debate.
I'm a member of Phi Theta Kappa (an honor society) and I do 20 hours of work study each week in the performing arts department... This makes me watch to play the aforementioned video games.
I just finished my associates degree in Journalism (and possibly Liberal arts...). Go me.
I also teach for the United Homeschool Network, so I'm officially a Teacher. Rawr.
I have high standards, higher goals and big dreams.
I have a shoe obsession, as in I am obsessed with not wearing any. I'm not averse to wearing flip flops in winter, provided I won't get frostbite and even then It's a risk I might take. However, I like to look at shoes, and own them... I just don't like wearing them.
I'm the type of person who will seriously consider going to McDonalds to order a Whopper. Just to see what happens.
I play the Game. If you know what it is, you just lost. I know, I know, I suck.
I love theatre, and if that's something you like we are going to be fast friends, I'm sure.
I read as often as possible and have too many books for my bookshelves (or did, until I left many of them at my ex's... I'm currently trying to recover them).
Accents make me weak in the knees and butterfly-ie in the tummy.
If you wanna know me, talk to me. I'll (almost always) talk back. I think I'm pretty hilarious. I come across kinda bitchy sometimes, but, in the end, when you really start getting to know me, it's passion that comes across. I protect what I believe in. I stand up for my rights. Love me, hate me. ^_^
Some of my favorite quotes:
"Never say goodbye because saying goodbye means going away and going away means forgetting..."
-Peter Pan
""Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward. Maybe they have to be crazy. How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that’s never been written? Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels? We make tools for these kinds of people. While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

"Well, I tell you, if I have been wrong in my agnosticism, when I die I'll walk up to God in a manly way and say, Sir, I made an honest mistake."
- H. L. Mencken
"Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand. "
--Margery Williams The Velveteen Rabbit
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
-Mark Twain
